The coolest things about middle school were: having your own locker, giant chewy chocolate chip cookies at the ’snack mart’, Adidas jackets, pouring ranch over all cafeteria food (I can’t stand the stuff now, thanks to ODing in middle school), wearing socks with your sandles…and Mr. & Mrs. Sprong.
Anyone who went to Armand Larive Middle School will agree. Debby & Todd were the ‘cool teachers.’ They were fun, a little crazy, told teacher jokes & made us laugh. A couple Saturdays ago, I hung-out in Kennewick with Debby, Todd & their son Jaron. This family loves to laugh. Hanging-out with the Sprongs is like watching a family sitcom. Like in middle school, they had me laughing the whole fotoshoot, only this time it was Jaron telling jokes…and well, we’ll just say, he didn’t hear them in middle school
