Cuanto cuestan estas manzanas? I questioned the man at his market stand about the prices of his produce as I dug through the apple display. These apples were bigger than the usual apples we found on our morning treks to the mercado during my first summer in Mexico. I turned one around in my hand and spotted the familiar sticker: Washington apples. Ha! Of course! That would make them bigger, better, crunchier! & my nostalgia at the reminder of fall approaching back home in the states, made them a whole lot sweeter.
Myla, Gavin & Dexter thought so too! Lenaya & I styled her family’s ‘Washington apples’ shoot for weeks: Longaberger baskets heaped with apples, brown tights, & a dirt road through an orchard in Tri-Cities. Fall is Fabulous! Meet the Bunger family!
